What does an Educational Psychologist do?
In California, a Licensed Educational Psychologist (LEP) plays a multifaceted role in the realm of education and psychology. We conduct assessments and evaluations to identify learning disabilities, developmental delays, and emotional or behavioral challenges in students. LEPs interpret assessment results, collaborate with educators and families, and design personalized interventions to support students’ academic, social, and emotional growth. Additionally, LEPs serve as advocates for students and families, ensuring that educational needs are met and facilitating access to appropriate resources and services within the educational system. I base my consultation and assessment services on the belief that every learner has a pathway to success. It’s crucial for parents, schools, and professionals to collaborate in creating a plan that supports the student’s growth in learning and social skills. As students grow, they can actively contribute to this process, providing essential input in shaping their own paths.Specific Areas of Expertise
