Accessibility Statement
This page explains how this website is tested, what has been fixed, and how to tell me if something here is difficult to use.
Updated October 2026.
Why this matters here
Many of the families who come to this practice are already working around how information reaches them. It would be a strange thing to write about learning differences on a site that some people cannot read. So the site itself is tested, and when something falls short I want to know.
What has been done
This site has been audited and remediated against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, the standard most widely referenced for web accessibility.
In October 2026 that testing covered every public page, on desktop and on mobile, and looked at keyboard navigation, focus indicators, color contrast, heading structure, landmarks, text alternatives for images, and reflow at small screen sizes. Everything it found in this site's own code has been fixed rather than worked around.
The booking calendar is the exception. It is built and served by another company, and testing sometimes reports color-contrast problems inside it depending on the dates it is showing. There is more about that below, including how to book without using it.
Automated testing does not catch everything. It is one layer, and it is the layer that can be repeated on every page after every change, which is how it is used here.
Where it may still fall short
The booking calendar on the contact page is provided by Cal.com, and it runs inside their own frame, so its colors and markup are theirs rather than mine. It has been themed to match this site as far as their settings allow, and I re-check it, but what it does cannot be fixed here the way the rest of the site can. If it gets in your way you do not have to use it: email me and we will find a time that way instead.
A few other features here also come from outside companies, and the same limit applies to them. If one of them stops you doing something, tell me and I will get you what you need another way.
Content changes over time, and something may slip. Accessibility is not a project that finishes.
Tell me
If any part of this website is difficult to use, please say so. Tell me what you were trying to do and what happened, and I will get you the information another way and fix the page.
